DALLAS –(October 25, 2010) All the local hot spots and cool drinking customs unique to Florida take front and center in an upcoming episode of the new HDNet series “Drinking Made Easy” - a 24 episode trek across America, hosted by cult sensation Zane Lamprey. “Drinking Made Easy”

featuring Florida airs on HDNet on Wednesday, November 10 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

In this episode, Zane drinks his way through the Sunshine State and makes stops in Orlando, Miami, Clearwater Beach, Lake Alfred and Ft.

Lauderdale. He whips up 40 mojito’s in a minute at Lario’s on the Beach, taps a cask of ale at premier beer bar Redlight Redlight and tries to cool off with liquid nitrogen at the Ritz-Carlton, South Beach. All that and a lot more on Drinking Made Easy, Florida.

The HDNet series was filmed in conjunction with a recent national comedy tour, as Lamprey and his drinking buddy Steve McKenna and veteran stand-up comedian Marc Ryan traveled the US in search of the local drinks and drinking customs that have contributed to the birth, growth and distinction of our great country. Definitely a road trip unlike any other, the tour buses took Lamprey and his 15-person crew more than 10,000 miles across the country to cities like Atlanta, Austin, Dallas, Denver, Miami, Milwaukee, New Orleans, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, San Francisco and Seattle among many others.

“Drinking Made Easy” airs Wednesday nights at 8:30 p.m. ET on HDNet.

About a year ago the Food Network producers started a daunting mission: Find the best eats in America. Adding to the pressure, Good Eats' Alton Brown would unveil the winners in a special Food Network series. Thousands of great restaurants, food trucks, bistros and bars were investigated. After many heated debates, the list was narrowed to 10 in each of four categories, one of them - Destinations.
The lists were handed off to Agent Brown who approached the picks with his usual skepticism. Who are the finalists? Well one of them is ICEBAR Orlando! We made the top 10 in Destinations of America's Best. The Number 1 spots will be announced on September 21st at 9:00 pm on Food Network TV.

Photo Shoot for Icebar new Carvings

The photos are in! Our staff and friends are the best models we have! Showing how much fun you can have in the cold. Of course, the 26 flavors of vodka don't hurt. Our newest flavor "Whipped" is the flavor of whipped cream and it is so great with almost anything you can think of. Orange and whipped is a creamsickle - Chocolate and whipped is chocolate mousse! But wait! There are about 100 more concoctions, like butterscotch and --- well you have to come find out for yourself, but do NOT miss the Whipped. It's like a chilling breeze in the heat of summer - oh that's Icebar! Thanks to Brent for being staff for a day!

CAPTAIN ESQUIRE

This short film shot for the 48 hour film festival features Icebar Orlando as the hang out of the Evil Villon. Two of our employees, Coy Whiting and Cindy Chan made their film debut's in this episode! It was fun and funny! Thanks for picking us to be in your movie!

Star Wars Celebration V is finished. P H E W ! It was a very interesting project, and I have to say that I was disappointed that we didn't win the bid for the entire Hoth Ice Garden. I truly believe we would have produced a much better experience. The ice carvings, however, were amazing. Aaron Costic, our master carver captured the feel and essence of the Tauntaun and the Wampa in ice. Here are some photos.
We also had visits from characters to the real Icebar! The wampa who came actually made his costume. I am including a photo inside the icebar so you can see how large he is. Walking on stilts and carrying that costume must take a really strong person.
The others from the 501st Legion and the Hoth Rebel Patrol were also very good at their characterization of the movie.

WAMPAS AND TAUN TAUN'S OH MY!

Icebar Orlando in conjunction with Lucas Films has been tagged to carve for the Hoth Ice Garden at the Celebration V Star Wars Convention in Orlando this weekend.

We brought in Aaron Costic, the intergalactic ice carver to do the heavy work. He has been busy all week, and the results are STELLAR!

Parties every night, drinks to get you ready for the EPIC party. Come in costume, and we let you in free. Ask for the ICE QUEEN and I'll make you a SOLO IN THE ROCKS!
